This is just a quick reference for spot decision making. There are also high speed cards that are rated by transfer speed like the feature image, 300MB transfer is fast and expensive

The first class of cards was just SPEED CLASS They had a C and number inside the C

  • C2 (Class 2): minimum write speed of 2MB/s
  • C4 (Class 4): minimum write speed of 4MB/s
  • C6 (Class 6): minimum write speed of 6MB/s
  • C10 (Class 10): minimum write speed of 10MB/s

Then Came Ultra High Speed class this had a U with number inside

UHS (Ultra-High Speed) Speed Class and it’s denoted with the “U” symbol

The latest being Video Speed Class
