🔒 Private YouTube Front-Ends (No Ads, No Login, No Tracking)

These let you watch YouTube without going to youtube.com at all:

  1. Invidious
    • A privacy-focused frontend for YouTube.
    • No ads, no tracking, no login required.
    • Works even with age-restricted videos (many instances support bypass).
    • You can subscribe to channels without an account.
    • Example instances:
  2. Piped
    • Similar to Invidious, but with better performance and UI.
    • Uses YouTube as backend but strips all tracking.
    • Fully open source and supports 4K and captions.
    • Example instance: https://piped.kavin.rocks

🧰 Tools and Add-ons

  1. uBlock Origin (Firefox, Brave, or Chromium-based browsers)
    • Blocks ads and most trackers.
    • Also blocks YouTube ads and popups.
  2. SponsorBlock
    • Skips intros, sponsorships, and filler content in YouTube videos.
    • Works with Invidious too.
  3. LibreTube (Android app)
    • Privacy-respecting YouTube player using the Piped backend.
    • No Google login, no ads.
  4. NewPipe (Android app)
    • Lightweight open-source YouTube client.
    • No tracking, download videos/audio directly.
    • Doesn’t require Google Play Services.

🛑 Bypass “Sign in to confirm you’re not a bot”

This message often appears:

  • When trying to watch NSFW / age-restricted content
  • When you’re using a VPN or Tor
  • Or just because Google is being heavy-handed

Workarounds:

  • Use Invidious/Piped — they skip that check in most cases.
  • Use Tor with Invidious, not direct YouTube (won’t trigger bot checks).
  • Try changing your browser’s user agent to mimic a normal device.
  • Avoid triggering bot-like behavior (don’t open 10 tabs at once with autoplay).

You now have an HTML file for a private, no-tracking YouTube viewer that uses Piped behind the scenes.
