When I get this operational I will put together a build manual with high rez images. If you want more details or better images just ask. In this build process I am making changes to help in quicker builds. I am building separate components for spares and for mods. I am approaching this build as individual modules that can be removed and replaced quicklyÂ
These pictures are from the original builder and their process:

Today I start identifying the parts and start looking for materials. No China Build is the strategy
Â
😟. Duet came in, It was an ebay purchase. Supposed to be open box.
powered up, terminal connection, no response from board. Back in the box, back to ebay. At this point I have a Ultimachine rambo and archim. I did purchase a china duet 3 but that is weeks away. At this point I either go back to the ardrino nightmare or wait.Â
I think Duet will be the future so I will order a couple boards and a couple pt100 daughter cards today so if anyone in Daytona wants quick hands on.Â
Just to vent, and a word of caution for anyone who is considering working with cheep ass arduino boards. Â
I foolishly attempted to get 1 of my rambo boards working today, using a boot loader from uptanium bed leveling kit. My decision last week was to abandon them for a duet till that purchase turned bad, so I was left with no control of the hitemp 3d printer.
Again I had to use the bullshit arduino ide and again i waisted a couple hours and got frustrated to the max. I think firstly windows is the worst platform for doing any kind of serial communications, second i think gethub is stupid, third I think visual studio was designed to cause mass suicide for old white guys.Â
I found the solution. I figured out how to stop myself from waisting time dicken with this stupid operating enviroment.Â
5lb hammer. no longer have to worry that I might get a inspirational thought and try to bring these over priced boards back t life
problem solved.Â
My next mission is to setup a linux computer to finally get away from windows. I am running 2 pc's for imaging , 1 of those for video. and have 3 macs , 1 very new video editor and my new macbook i use to post. Â
So i am invested in software, I have a router table running uccnc and a plasma table running a windows controlled setup. so thats the problem, my shop equipment runs windows and video producing and editing also. I posted some stuff about getting away from microsoft and building this machine several months back but hit this wall then.Â
The mission always is to stop using microsoft and stop using google.
I never did facebook or twitter, they are just dumb.Â
I will have to put this build on hold now waiting for another overpriced control setup, at least my throbbing brain will get a break.
Tomorrow i will go fishing, I bought an underwater drone to seek the hiding places

Today I had success. Success with a duet wifi.Â
I spent the last couple days working trying to learn visual studio, did some video instructions but the quality of instruction just bored me. I made some progress but I think it's probably not going to be a strong point, I really want to get it understood but not for now
The duet has great online instructions, except it's all very compressed, that is reading it just doesnt relate to doing it, as it happens there are always catches that are not printed, these take hours if not days to get figured out. The duet board has to have firmware update and a SD card setup in order to get it to show up alive. When it does it really shines.Â
To recap, 1 used duet original, 1 aazon clone, 1 ebay clone, and it's alive. also about 10 hoursÂ
Hopefully there will be movement again on the high temp printer, my big issue before was getting the extruder turing so I could do some experiments with flow and temp settings.Â
Also during repeater setup the name was installed. It's a Magic 200  Â
The Duet setup will be another post. I don't like watching youtube instructional videos because of the persons in them. I think AVE has it figured out, just hands and tools. There will be video just without persons or personalities.Â
Â
Back in Business, things are moving in the right directions, endstops are working. Now I am back to where I was when I ran into the arduino IDE/Visual Studio Shit Storm. Nothing like waisting a couple weeks trying to understand something created by (nevermind) Duet 2 wifi is programmed and controlled with web browser. There is a concept!!!!
The objective now is to get control of the screw extruder and start melting plastic to get an idea of how to set up the stream from pellots to extrusion.
Did I mention the firmware is Repietier not Marlin.Â
Heater elements hooked up to nozzle and bed. pt100 probe installed with daughter card on duet 2. Hot bed hooked up to 220 volts. All getting hot and registering temp. I ran my first file, I dont know what it was, just grabbed a file and it started moving.Â
Next step is getting the hot end extruder pushing out plasticÂ
