Overview

Conversion of a commercial plasma cutter machine for personal use and to gain experience with servo motor setups.

Parts

• Plasma machine (purchased for $2000)
• Complete electronics boards and controllers (tested)

Steps

1. Acquired the plasma machine for $2000, which included the electronics. 2. Worked on getting the machine operational as it was originally. 3. Dealt with an older interface from 2013. 4. Received support from the original manufacturers, Armour Systems.

Notes

• The machine was made in the USA with cooperation from a German manufacturer.
• Encountered minor issues but received excellent support from the original builders.
• The goal was to gain more experience with servo motor setups.
