Finally moved to duet 2 wifi
Overview
Moved from the original control board to a Duet 2 WiFi on an Ender 5 3D printer. The new electronics were placed on top of the bottom electronics bay due to space constraints.
Parts
- Duet 2 WiFi
- External MOSFET for bed heating
- BL Touch probe
Steps
1. Removed the old control board. 2. Installed the Duet 2 WiFi. 3. Used the original 24V power supply after realizing a 12V supply was insufficient for bed heating. 4. Installed an external MOSFET to handle bed heating. 5. Installed a BL Touch probe.
Notes
- The original bed leveling system from Uptanium was no longer available.
- Used the online configuration tool for BL Touch setup: https://configtool.reprapfirmware.org/
