Overview

Upgrading the basic Longer LK-1 3D printer to a more advanced setup involves adding a 3D touch for automatic bed leveling and replacing the control board with a Duet2 WiFi.

Parts

- 3D Touch for bed leveling (~$30)
- Duet2 WiFi control board (~$60)

Steps

1. Install 3D Touch:
- Connect the 3D Touch to the Duet2 WiFi control board.
- No specific voltage adjustments or resistor changes were needed.

2. Replace Mainboard:
- Remove the original control board.
- Install the Duet2 WiFi control board.
- Connect the Duet2 WiFi to the 3D printer hardware.
- Connect the Duet2 WiFi via Wi-Fi.

- The Duet2 WiFi uses a web interface for configuration and real-time adjustments through Duet Web Control v1 (DWC).
- The Duet2 WiFi upgrade eliminates the need for Arduino IDE and Marlin firmware setup.
