Overview
A CAN bus demonstration mock-up was created using a 2-CH CAN HAT attached to a Raspberry Pi 4. The project was successful despite initial difficulties.
Parts
- Raspberry Pi 4 (8GB model)
- 2-CH CAN HAT
- 10-inch display
Steps
1. Assemble the Raspberry Pi 4 with the 2-CH CAN HAT. 2. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to set up the CAN HAT. 3. Connect to the internet and use the terminal to follow the setup instructions. 4. Troubleshoot any errors encountered during the setup process.
Notes
- The Raspberry Pi 4 is faster than the Pi 3, which made the setup process smoother.
- The setup was completed in a couple of hours.
- The CAN HAT was recognized and data was successfully transmitted between the two buses.
