Winterizing Process

Problem

• Rubber hoses decomposed.
• Fuel shutoff broke off.

Solution

• Replaced the fuel shutoff from Amazon for $7, which included a hose and filter (from China).
• Changed the oil to synthetic.
• Unit has about 12 hours of runtime.

Key Points

• Most important step is to get the fuel system dry.
• Removed the carb fuel bowl drain screw.
• Applied WD-40 into the carb to keep it lubed (potentially a bad idea, to be evaluated next year).
