3d printing has issues and they happen on a regular basis. If your into Ftube your probably left with more questions than answers. Videos made to promote unnecessary items and self promote so-called 3d printer pros. It's not rocket science it's melting plastic and forcing it through a small hole with precision.
Once you understand the basics and get some experience it will all come together. I didn't say it was easy, because there are so many different things to learn, but the best part is your reading, the best way to learn
I was deminstrating a process of making adjustments to a printed file I downloaded from thingverse. I's a simple cable management system but helps to see issues and make adjustments between the prints. The print time is less than an hour if your settings are right.
Here you can see the bed tempeture is to hot and the print is pulling off the plate. Reducing the bed temp form 75 to 70 fixed this on the 3rd print
Low and behold the system broke later in the day while I was in a good run.
These are areas I want to illuminate for beginners so they can see these issues happen
The filament tube at
the extruder came out of the clamped end and when i discovered it there was 5 feet of filament spooled on the floor. This is pretty common and these are expendables. Having these kits on hand is a must.
Spare tubing, fittings, thermals, this stuff is very inexpensive
replacing is easy but precision is required. The tube end that goes into the hot end has to go completely against the hotend tip. The nozzle end. The tube has to be cut perfectly square or when the filament is pressed into the hotend it will leak inside. This is an example of what happens when you don't get this tube inserted and tight. Yes this is a silly design but it's simple, you just have to understand how critical this setup is. Also if the hotend fan gets clogged with dirt or loses performance the tube inside will get overheated and slow down or stop the filament from coming out.
lower the bed and watch the stream
3d printed item lets go
