semantic search is by using embedding models to convert text into numerical vectors, then storing these vectors in a vector database, and finally using a K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm to find the most semantically similar vectors to a user's query. This process relies on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning to understand the meaning and context behind words, enabling more relevant and accurate search results than traditional keyword matching

The Build is complete, next the build out!

You're not just building an AI tool — you're building a **personal AI system** that:

- Runs locally (on your 3090 Ti)

- Uses your favorite model (Qwen3 30B)

- Stays up to date with **real-time data**

- Is scalable, maintainable, and won’t crash from "tokens"

- Uses **you.com** (your own AI-powered project) as the core

📝 New blog post: Quickbooks Purchase Mistake?
Looking for Accounting software?

Our Journey: what’s available and what we learned

Quickbooks Great, Most popular So expensive for small business startup SalesOnline for local install programs are not legit!

🚩 Key Red Flags in This Listing❌ 1. “Lifetime License” — This Is False & Misleading“Enjoy a lifetime license for QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2024, eliminating the need for recurring subscriptions.”🔴 This is not true.Intuit (QuickBooks) does NOT sell lifetime licenses. They only sell software with annual subscription updates (since 2013, they’ve phased out perpetual licenses). This “lifetime license” is not from Intuit — it’s from a third-party reseller (like the one selling on Amazon/Walmart).💡 What’s really happening? This is a one-time purchase of the software, but without any official Intuit support or subscription. You can install and use it, but you will not be able to update it after a certain point — and Intuit won’t help you if it breaks.⚠️ Bottom line: You’re buying a copy of QuickBooks Desktop 2024, but not a “lifetime license” — just a one-time software purchase with no guaranteed updates or support.❌ 2. “No Subscription Needed” — But That’s Only Half True“Eliminating the need for recurring subscriptions.”🟢 Partly true:You don’t need to pay Intuit’s $129/year for updates. But — you cannot receive official updates after the first year unless you pay.🔴 But here’s the catch:QuickBooks Desktop 2024 is designed to check for updates via Intuit’s servers. If you don’t have an active subscription, it will eventually stop working or fail to file taxes. You cannot update it yourself — updates are locked to authorized, subscription-holding users.🔥 Example:You install QB Desktop 2024 in 2024.It works fine for a year.In 2025, tax laws change — but you can’t update unless you pay. When you try to e-file your 2025 taxes, QuickBooks will reject it because it’s outdated.❌ 3. “QB Support Will Not Be Able to Validate or Assist” — This Is a Major Warning“As such, QB support will not be able to validate or assist with this license.”🟢 This is 100% true — and it’s a huge risk.If your software crashes, won’t open, or can’t sync with your bank, Intuit will not help you. They won’t even recognize your license as valid. You’re on your own.💡 This is not a bug — it’s by design. Intuit only supports licenses purchased directly from them.❌ 4. “We Offer Our Own Customer Support” — But How Good Is It?“We do offer our own customer support…”🟢 Good to know — but you should verify:How responsive are they?Do they offer remote help or just email? Are they trained on QuickBooks? What happens if they can’t fix a critical issue?⚠️ Warning: Third-party support may not be able to fix license issues, update problems, or tax compliance errors.✅ 5. What’s Actually True & UsefulThe software itself is legitimate — it’s a real copy of QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2024.You can install and use it for at least 1–2 years (until tax law changes). It has great features: multi-user mode, reporting, inventory tracking, etc.The price ($79) is low — but only if you’re okay with risks.🔍 So, Should You Buy This?✅ Buy It If You Are:A small business owner who just needs basic bookkeeping for 1–2 years.Willing to manually manage updates (not recommended).Okay with no official support.Willing to back up your data regularly. Not planning to e-file taxes or use bank feeds.📌 Best use case: A temporary or backup solution while you decide whether to switch to QuickBooks Online.❌ Do NOT Buy It If You Are:Running a business that files taxes annually (you’ll need updated tax forms).Using bank feeds or e-filing (will fail without updates).Need technical support if something breaks.Want security updates (old versions can be vulnerable).Planning to scale or grow your business long-term.⚠️ This software will eventually become unusable — not because it stops working, but because tax law updates are mandatory.✅ What You Should Do Instead (Recommended)Option 1: Buy Directly from Intuit (Best for Long-Term Use)Go to: https://quickbooks.intuit.comChoose QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2024 (one-time purchase + $129/year subscription). You get:Full Intuit support.Automatic tax law updates.E-filing and bank feeds.Security updates.Peace of mind.💬 Cost: ~$1,000+ total (software + 3 years of updates), but you’re protected.Option 2: Switch to QuickBooks Online (Best for Most Small Businesses)$30–$100/month (billed monthly or annually).Includes updates, support, cloud access, mobile app, bank feeds, e-filing.No worries about updates or licenses. No need to manage backups.✅ Best for most small businesses — especially if you want simplicity, scalability, and reliability.📌 Final Verdict❌ Do NOT buy this “lifetime license” from a third party — it’s misleading, and you’re taking a big risk.✅ Instead:If you want low cost + no subscription, buy QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2024 directly from Intuit (with subscription). If you want no hassle, go with QuickBooks Online.🔗 Quick Links:Intuit Direct: https://quickbooks.intuit.comQuickBooks Online: https://qbo.intuit.comIntuit Support: https://support.intuit.com

🎨🤖 The “Vision‑to‑Text & Text‑to‑Image” Hall of Fame

CLIP | BLIP | LLaVA | M3P | DALL·E 2/3

Below is a compact cheat‑sheet that shows what each model does, how it was built, why you’d pick it over the others, and quick code snippets to get started.

TL;DR
CLIP – Vision‑language embedding for zero‑shot image classification & retrieval.
BLIP – Bi‑directional LLM + vision encoder → strong captioning, VQA, multimodal generation.
LLaVA – Large‑Language‑Model + vision back‑bone for interactive visual reasoning.
M3P – Multimodal Multi‑pass Prompting; improves CLIP performance with iterative prompts.
DALL·E 2/3 – Diffusion models that generate photorealistic images from text (and in‑painting).

Ok, my ai build is finally operational. now comes the fun part, data models and user interfaces. My build msi z890-p. i had 3 different main boards, issues with bios update for the intel 17 256 was a major pain. The final issue was incompatable ram, a purchase from amazon, (patriot mem) that was 20 bucks less was a bad decision, specs looked good but just didn't work.

The build strategy was to get the system running using the intel cpu video output. This was 4 weeks to get actual start up. After 2 days and realizing the limits of cpu only AI was to limiting. Research kept ending up with 16gb vram cards from 500 to 1000, but ai needs vram and 16gb is just not cutting it. The models load into vram. I ran across an online deal, local even, for a 3090ti. I was super interested until i realized it was a 30 series, but it had 24gb ram and was in the box. Research proved it to be a beast, super performer but power hungry and hot running, so i passed. Having a couple days operaitng without a GPU and seeing i would have to spend 2k or wait a month or two i was able to purchase the 3090ti and wow 500 bucks for an incredible upgrade. issues of power and heat are not a factor, this beast runs 70B. I'm trying several models, image creation is blazing fast, 1.5 seconds to generate from text. More on this ai build in a post soon

If you want 70B quality without the slowdown, the honest upgrades are more VRAM (48 GB+) or multi-GPU with a tensor-parallel engine (vLLM/ExLlamaV2). Otherwise, keep 70B for occasional “hard questions,” and use a fast 14–16B coder (DeepSeek-Coder-V2-Lite or Qwen-2.5-Coder 14B) for day-to-day web/devops work.
